How exactly is physiotherapy done with Cystic Fibrosis patients? I'm 20 and my girlfriend is 19. My girlfriend has Cystic Fibrosis and i invited her to stay over for a few days with me at my place. But how is the physiotherapy done and in what ways and how often? Do they usually do it on their own or do they often need someone to help them? Should I know how to do it with my girlfriend?

What kind of Physiotherapy Ball is This? Some time back I was at a specialist back center for a while and they had me using a special ball to stand on. The best way to describe it i think is "like the planet Saturn" -- really! Like a football with a plastic platform right around the center that you stood on and had to balance on. I'd like to find out what it is so i can purchase one for home but have had no luck searching as i dont know what im looking for. Help appreciated.

Can you just go to physiotherapy once? I am from Canada and my family doctor wrote me a doctor's note to have some physiotherapy done behind my left knee. It has been bothering me a bit when I run, but it does not hurt, it just feels weird. What can I expect in physiotherapy? Is it ultrasounds? Also can I just go once? Rather then multiple times? My leg isnt bad, unlike other people.
Entry requirements for Physiotherapy as a mature student? I'm a 24 year old working in the fitness industry and am interested in studying Physiotherapy at Kings College London. Although my nationality is British, I was educated abroad and have no UK or A-level qualifications. How would it be possible to acquire the necessary credits for enrollment in the 2010/11 academic year? A one year access course would be preferable however most Universities do not recognise the Science ones. Any advice appreciated.
How does physiotherapy aid inflammation? My sister is going to go to a physiotherapist for treatment of tendonitis in her wrist (I don't know which muscle is involved). It's fairly late at night and she just text me to ask how exercises can aid inflammation. So I immediately thought of asking here; any physiotherapist type people who can explain it? I know what a tendon is :-) It's just that I did ask a physiotherapist friend what the exercises would be, but she said without knowing whether it's the flexor or extensor muscle is involved she couldn't say. I didn't want to keep badgering her that's why I asked on here! I know muscles aren't involved in tendonitis but obviously as tendons are attached to muscles there will be muscles involved in the exercises.
I cant decide on my career? How important is career satisfaction? Physiotherapy or Chemical engineering? I just started my university education on a double degree in chemical engineering and economics. While its a course I know I will be able to study and pull through, I am not sure if its really what i'd like to do for the rest of my life. I was told it'll give me a well-paying job though, with good career prospects. What r e nature of jobs in the pharmaceutical industry, besides research? On the other hand, I am considering a career in physiotherapy. However, physiotherapy is not as established as in other countries such as Australia, US or UK, where I was told the pay was much much better, and physiotherapists are granted much more autonomy with their patients. The diploma+1yr degree conversion course offered locally was not recommended by the seniors I spoke to. I cant afford an overseas education, esp if the job doesnt pay well enough to justify the amount of money spent. But i do like the job, its jus the practicalities of finances tt scares me. advice? - 19 yr old, singapore

After I have done my A-levels, do you think I will be able and allowed to study physiotherapy/physical therapy in college? (P.S. Remember I didn't take physics.)
