What qualifications (A levels/Degrees) would be preferred/required to work in radio therapy or physiotherapy?
I'm doing AS's at the moment but interesting in careers from the mentioned fields. Thanks!

- Hello For details about relevant qualifications, have a look at both occupational areas within the Connexions website at http://www.connexions-direct.com/jobs4u/. Radiography is split into two career pathways, diagnostic and therapeutic. As diagnostic radiographers need a degree in diagnostic radiography and therapeutic radiographers need a degree in radiotherapy, applicants must be clear which pathway they wish to pursue before applying for courses. Entry requirements for both degree courses usually include at least two A levels plus five GCSEs/S grades (A-C/1-3). A range of A level subjects is acceptable, although a science subject is often required; GSCEs often need to include English, maths and science. Other qualifications, including relevant AS levels, may be accepted, either on their own or in combination with A levels. For a recognised two year postgraduate course, entry is with a degree (often at least an upper second) in a science or health-related subject. Applicants are generally expected to have observed radiography in practice, must be medically fit for the role and will be vetted to ensure that they are suitable persons to work with children and vulnerable adults. For physiotherapy, entry requirements are very similar although usually three A’ levels (at high grades), including at least one science, are required. Training involves a recognised three or four year university-based course, leading to a BSc in physiotherapy. It’s also possible to complete a two year postgraduate MSc for those who have graduated in other relevant disciplines. As exact entry requirements may vary between courses in both professional areas, it’s important to carefully check out details of available courses and entry requirements at http://ucas.com/students/coursesearch/. Contact the relevant admissions officer for advice if you have any queries.
